10-12-2006.SUN - Departure Day
06:10pm arrived Wushu Center and we all are waiting for the bus to come. The bus express (Baram Express) came at 06:20pm. We all are waiting for Coach Tiong to be arrived then 07:00pm depart from Miri to Kuching.
08:30pm arrived our 1st pit stop which is Batu Niah and we all have 30 minutes break. Fellows had some foods and drinks. 09:00pm sharp continue our journal to Bintulu. Along the way nothing to do except listen to the MP3 music that I bring along and sleep. 10:25pm arrived Bintulu but we did not stop.
11-12-2006.MON - Arrived & Preparation Day
12:10am arrived 2nd pit stop which is a small restaurant between Bintulu & Sibu road for a short break. I was drink a cup of hot Teh-O. So cold in the bus. 12:36am continue heading to next distination - Sibu. We arrived Sibu at 01:22am without stop. 01:42am make a crossing Lanang Bridge which is newly open not long ago. 02:11am at Sarikei.
04:15am arrived 3rd pit stop they called it Engkelili Town. We are unlucky, the bus have to stop for changing the puncture tyre while we are waiting and have a break. I found that every pit stop, Coach Tiong sure bought 100 PLUS, for quick recovery??? 05:11am continue heading to Kota Samarahan. 07:10am arrived Serian Town which is 90KM away from Kuching.
08:15am we arrived 4th pit stop which is Kuching long distance terminal bus. 08:30am continue heading to our living area "金河" Apartment. 09:00am arrived "金河" Apartment which is located at BDC area, Jalan Song. Near to the Tabuan Height Commercial Centre. It's also near to the Wushu Association of Sarawak. We rent 2 units (1 unit have 2 bed rooms). Me appointed as Leader. Coach Tiong did not stay with us.
11:00am we all make our move to Tabuan Height Comm. Cntr had our lunch. 12:15pm return to "金河" Apartment. 01:20pm, Coach select 8 "Backup Fellows" (included me) to go to Dewan Suara (competiton area) attend the group meeting. On the way to Dewan Suara, we saw one of the Istitute building top floor was in heavy fire. What cause that, not sure. We only felt that the weather so hot today. 15 mins later we arrived. We saw a lot of other members from Sibu, Saratok... already start praticing in real carpet. And our members was praticing their forms beside the apartment.
As they inform Coach that the meeting time was changed to 03:00pm then Coach called 2 Cabs to 1 1/2KM away Wisma Saberkas shopping complex shop around. I pay the taxi fee RM10.00. The money no way to claim back. Coach sponsor us ABC drink. One bowl cost RM3.00. TQ! 03:00pm we called Cabs again. 30 mins later only we (me & Coach) manage get the Cabs return to Dewan Suara. The rest of the fellows by Taxi returned to "金河" Apartment.
03:40pm arrived Dewan Suara, this time I saw Kuching Wushu Team was doing their praticing. What a good movement and action from them. Heavy rain after we arrived Dewan Suara. Again the meeting delay till 05:30pm. All the Coachs & Leaders from various location meet up discuss and review on tomorrow Wushu Competition programs. Our Coach was requesting to add one more participant in 自选 Tai Ji Quan but rejected by the Head of Wushu Commitee. The reason is one location only allow 7 males & 7 female participant. Our Miri team only have 8 males & 6 females participant minus 1 male which is not approved to be in the competiton list. Me become Coach Secreatry, help to take note on every issue such as double check on any missing name etc. The meeting finish at 06:15pm.
After that, we both by taxi going to Tabuan Height Comm. Cntr. having dinner (pay my own except Coach sponsor 100 PLUS). After that me, Coach and 2 fellows going to nearby Bakery shop (Fujisan) bought 6 rolls of bread then go to 7.11 24 hrs shop bought 30 cups of Fast Food Maggi mee, 24 eggs & 3 cans of Milk. Then heading back to our apartment. Before Coach returned to his hotel, he give a short briefing then train all the participant and review their movement.
10:30pm advice all the members going to bed as tomorrow need to wake up at 04:30am prepare for the breakfast and so on. A very tired day for me. I sleep at 01:00am.
12-12-2006.TUE - Wushu Competition Day
03:50am wake up. Some members complain to me that the room too cold and cannot sleep. Wonder who is the one set the air-cond temperature to lowest. 04:30am I wake everybody up. 05:00am having breakfast (Bread + Mee in Cup + Egg). 06:00am our team get ready and wait at ground floor. 06:35am school bus arrived and sent us to Dewan Suara. 06:50am arrived Dewan Suara. Coach Tiong 07:30am arrived, he is late. I'm assist to reported all the participants name to the judges. Make sure no name missing. Competition start at 08:00am. Coach make a final training for those who lack in 太极拳 catagory. Sibu and Kuching teams very strong. Almost all the competition catagories we are last. I also assist Coach to record down all the points that given by Judges for each individual participants. Also assist to ready the lunch / dinner pack & drinks for main and backup athlete. About the 自选太极拳 and 自选太极剑, really nice and beautifull which is perform by Kuching and Sibu teams, their 难度动作 doing full. The competition end at 09:30pm. Our Miri Wushu Team got 3 Golds, 3 Silvers and 17 Bronzes. Before return to apartment, we took a group photo. While waiting for the School Bus, Coach instructed me to collect money from all fellows who live in apartment. 10:30pm returned to apartment. Coach told me to remind fellows tomorrow 09:00am must ready.
13-12-2006.WED - Returning Day
Take a rest first, 12:10am go out with friends to the Tabuan Height Comm. Cntr bought mineral water. After returned to Apartment, still need to wait for fellows bathing. I felt tired and sleep. 02:30am wake up and took my "Early Morning" bath. Then 03:00am comtinue sleep. Feel fellows still walk around and no intention to sleep. Maybe they want to happy before going back home.
07:30am wake up and pack my travelling bag ready for the check out. Coach called and inform us to go breakfast ourself. He will meet us 11:00am. Then me and few fellows go to Tabuan Height Comm. Cntr. having breakfast. Then 10:35am return to Apartment again. 11:10am meet Coach. 11:45am we divide into 3 groups to go to Kuching Town shopping. The 1st shopping complex they go was Sarawak Plaza. I cannot join them for shopping as I need to rush to airport. As planning early to go to visit my Kuching office OSK and friends but time is not allow me to go. I make my way down to Central Market to bought RM30.00 古晋烧卖. After a while, raining as I plan to by bus to airport force to be cancelled plus the bus could be delay my time. Then 01:45pm by Taxi to airport. Kuching new international airport very beautifull. After checked in and go to nearby KFC buy lunch for myself.
I'm using Airasia 03:40pm flight return to Miri. Felt tired and sleep. The time running so fast. 04:40pm arrived Miri already. My sister 05:25pm took me home. Ending of my Journal of Sarawak Wushu Competition.
